The Card Carrying Club - our monthly feminist subscription kit - has been under way for a few months now and some questions have been rolling in that we want to answer!
Q: How does the Club work?
A: We try to make it as simple as possible to be a Club member! You subscribe for however long you like, and we encourage you to subscribe with friends so you can get the chance to talk about the book with people face-to-face. However, since this isn't always possible, there is a private Facebook group for Club members only.
Q: When will I get my kit?
A: We aim to ship kits at the end of the month so yours should arrive early in the month it is intended for. Please note that due to limitations of the site, you MUST subscribe by the 15th of the month in order to get the following months' kit. In other words, subscribe by January 15th to get February's kit. If you subscribe in January AFTER the 15th, your first kit will not arrive until March.
Q: What books have been included in the past?
A: Here is the list of what books have been sent out so far. We aim to update the list as it grows!
How To Be a Woman by Caitlin Moran
You Can't Touch My Hair by Phoebe Robinson
How to be a Heroine by Samantha Ellis
Jane Steele by Lyndsay Faye
We Are Never Meeting in Real Life by Samantha Irby
Nasty Women, a collection of essays curated by Kate Harding and Samhita Mukhopadhyay
Half Broke Horses by Jeannette Walls
(sneak peek for April - it will be a Peggy Orenstein book!)
